Thank you for being a supporter of Pride, Inc. Beautification. Whether it was through an event, a project, or as a recipient of one of Pride’s awards, we truly appreciate what you have done to support beautification in the community.
Research has shown that strong community beautification efforts increase property values, attract businesses, improve neighborhood image, and can lower crime.
Beauty is one of the three most influential factors in “community attachment”. People want to be in a community where people apparently care.
We have completed several meaningful projects, including:

Refresh of State House Circle in Alton.
New landscaping around the Welcome to Alton sign.
City-wide Litter Clean-up efforts.
Pride Eye Awards reaching over 7,000 homeowners.
Continued Bucket Brigade Grant house painting.
Annual Anti-litter Poster Contest in schools.
Advocacy Committee promoting “Love Where You Live”.
