🏆 Pride Eye Awards: Honoring Beautification Champions in Alton and Godfrey
Each year, Pride Incorporated proudly presents the Pride Eye Awards to recognize residents who go above and beyond to beautify their properties and inspire neighborhood pride. This longstanding tradition began with the vision of Dorothy Davidson—a prominent, forward-thinking woman whose legacy continues through this impactful initiative.
What started as a small gesture has grown into one of the area’s largest recognition programs. Today, we send out nearly 7,000 awards annually to homeowners throughout the Alton and Godfrey communities.

👁️🗨️ How the Pride Eye Awards Work
Pride Inc. board members form teams, known as Pride Eye Patrols, to canvas over 50 neighborhood zones. Each patrol evaluates residential properties based on curb appeal—mowed lawns, tidy landscaping, and visible efforts to improve or maintain the home’s exterior.
🏘️ Whether it's a new build or a historic home, we're always excited to discover standout yards, especially hidden gems in older neighborhoods where transformation shines.
📨 Did We Miss Someone?
While we strive to be thorough, we know we may occasionally overlook deserving homes. If you know of a resident who should be recognized, please contact us—we're happy to revisit the area.
🌟 Why It Matters
The Pride Eye Awards aren’t just about appearances—they’re about gratitude and encouragement. By recognizing individual effort, we aim to inspire community-wide beautification and promote the message that every small improvement adds up to a better, more welcoming region for all.
